Hi, I’m kelly green.

I have been a passionate educator since 2011 and I strongly believe in transforming education so that our future generations are prepared for a world that is ever-changing. As a struggling math student my whole schooling career, I have made it a goal to make sure that kids don’t suffer the same anxiety that I did. I was never shown the WHY, so many mathematics topics didn’t make sense to me. It wasn’t until I became a classroom teacher and realized I couldn’t explain the WHY to my students, that I decided to learn and understand more about elementary mathematics. Once I started learning I couldn’t stop, and it is now my mission to ensure all teachers understand how to teach math, and all students understand that they CAN do math!

I am highly skilled in the area of K-8 mathematics standards and progressions, professional development, curriculum writing and content creation. As a professional learning designer and presenter, I enjoy getting the opportunity to build up our educators' and leaders' capacity in best practices. Building relationships and being a clear communicator are highly important qualities to me and something that I am proud to be skilled at!
